MADAM X – New deal & New album

Legendary Detroit Hard Rockers MADAM X have signed a deal with EMP LABEL GROUP, who will release their long-awaited sophomore release MONSTROCITY on October 31st, (October 27th in EUROPE) on CD and Digital, with a limited edition vinyl release planned for November. Produced by Madam X at Metro 37 Studios in Rochester Hills, MI, and Mixed by Michael Wagener (MEGADETH, METALLICA, SKID ROW, OZZY OSBOURNE), with additional mixing by Mark Slaughter,Monstrocity is a hard-hitting classic Metal/Rock record sure to serve as a proper return to form for Madam X, and a kick in the ass for fans old and new.

Formed in 1981 by sisters Roxy and Maxine Petrucci, Madam Xrecruited bassist Chris “Godzilla” Doliber and vocalist Bret Kaiser, who released their classic, Rick Derringer produced, Jet Records debutWE RESERVE THE RIGHT in 1984, spawning the hit Rock single “High in High School”. 4 years later, after Roxy departed to join future Arena Rock superstars VIXEN, and original vocalist Kaiser was briefly replaced by an unknown Canadian vocalist named Sebastian Bach, Madam X disbanded, and would remain mostly inactive until 2014, when the original lineup reunited at the Sweden Rock Festival.

Fast forward to 2017, when the Petrucci sisters collaborated with vocalist Mark Slaughter on a Lemmy Kilmister tribute track for their VIP AFTERSHOW project, Slaughter who introduced Roxy to EMP LABEL GROUP head of A&R Thom Hazaert, who released a 12” “KILMISTER” single for AFTERSHOW, and the conversation soon shifted to the upcoming MADAM X release.

Says Hazaert, “When I connected with Roxy and we were working onThe Aftershow stuff, and she told me they were working on a new MADAM X record, I was extremely excited at the prospect of releasing it. After a brief courtship, we made the decision to put it out together, and I can honestly say I’m still excited. Madam X is such a kickass Rock band, I was always a huge fan of their first record, and to be able to release its follow up over 30 years later is just insane.”

Adds drummer Roxy Petrucci, “Hell may not be pretty but good things will find their way out ! It takes a huge pair of metal balls to sign a band like Madam X, David Ellefson and Thom Hazaert at EMP put their love of metal first, and crushed it by signing Madam X ! Raw and flawed, Monstrocity will be unleashed onto the world in fall 2017 ! Long live Rock n Roll but immortalized in Metal!”.

The album features 12 hard-hitting slabs of Rock, including the pummeling title track “Monstrocity”, “Resurrection”, “Nitrous”, and an updated version of their 1984 hit “High In High School.”

Whitesnake – ReReleases 1987 in October

30 years ago Whitesnake released the legendary album “1987” and this year a 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition is set to be released on October 6th.

Stan Bush – New album on Sept. 22nd

World-class rock singer, Stan Bush is best known for his song “The Touch” featured in “Transformers: The Movie”. An anthem for Transformers fans around the world, “The Touch” was also featured in the movie “Boogie Nights”, on Chuck (NBC), and American Dad (Fox), The Goldbergs(ABC), Guitar Hero, and the Saints Row IV game. Stan Bush was inducted into the Transfomers Hall of Fame in 2014.

In 1997 Stan Bush won an Emmy Award for Best Original Song, “Til I Was Loved By You“. Another of his songs “Capture the Dream” was featured in the 1996 Olympics. Autograph – New deal & New album this October!

Legendary LA Hard Rockers AUTOGRAPH have signed a deal with EMP LABEL GROUP who will release their forthcoming album GET OFF YOUR ASSOctober 6th on CD and Digital, with a limited edition vinyl LP version available in November.

GET OFF YOUR ASS is the first official studio LP from the revamped quartet, featuring original/founding members guitarist Steve Lynch and bassist Randy Rand, alongside new vocalist/rhythm guitarist Simon Daniels, and drummer Marc Wieland.

Lynch, an iconic guitarist, revered Worldwide as a bona fide guitar hero (known for his signature 8 finger hammer-on technique), reactivated the band in 2013 with bassist Randy Rand after reconnecting at the NAMM Show. After approaching original vocalist Steve Plunkett, who was unavailable for the reunion due to other business interests, with his blessing, the newly resurrected AUTOGRAPH recruited former JAILHOUSE vocalist Simon Daniels, the rest, as they say, is history.

GET OFF YOUR ASS features an updated, hard-edged (and keyboard free) sound for the band, featuring down-tuned guitars, and the fiery, blues-soaked delivery of Daniels, as evidenced on tracks like “Every Generation”, “I Lost My Mind In America”, and the first single, edgy title track “Get Off Your Ass”. The album also features an updated live version of the band’s classic rock staple “Turn Up The Radio”, performed by the current lineup.

Says co-founder, guitarist Steve Lynch, “Get Off Your Ass definitely sets a new direction for the band, with an updated, heavier sound, while still retaining the signature melodic hooks people have come to expect from AUTOGRAPH. EMP President (and Megadeth bassist) David Ellefson expresses a mutual admiration. “When I first moved to LA to go to MI (then known as GIT), Steve Lynch was the guy EVERYBODY went there to learn from. As far as guitar players in LA went, he was THE guy. I never did end up at GIT, we formed MEGADETH and obviously went down an extremely different path, but Steve truly is an iconic guitar hero of the highest caliber, and I am so proud for EMP to be able to partner with him and the re-imagined AUTOGRAPH to release this killer album.”

MARTINA EDOFF – New Album out in September

Brand new album is coming up in September from Martina Edoff.
The album is called “We Will Align” and is set to be released on Sept 22nd from AOR Heaven.

The self-titled MARTINA EDOFF album was released in 2014, and
nearly a year later, the second record called “Unity” took her and her
band on a successful North American tour in September 2015.
She soon went to Argentina and performed for 6000 new fans as an
opening act for Tarja Turunen. The tour went on to share the stage
with The Winery Dogs on their European tour in early 2016. The UK
audience welcomed her the same year for a mini tour and she later
returned to the Rockingham Festival to perform.
Now she’s back with the third record “We Will Align” which will be
released on AOR Heaven on September 22nd, 2017.
Amongst the already acquired fans is the respected English rock
journalist Dave Ling, who discovered MARTINA EDOFF’s eponymous
titled solo debut, celebrated her with a full page article in Classic Rock
AOR Magazine and put her album on his playlist, describing it as
”Stirring, confident melodies from an unashamed Swedish rock chick!”
The great reviews kept on coming in from all over the world.
Together with her former co-producer and co-writer Jona Tee
(H.E.A.T), Martina decided to work with him on the third album. In late
2016 the artist started to write on some new songs and found more
co-writers who completed the music in the way she was looking for,
such as Jonas Törnqvist (Deathriders, Bleed The Hunger,
TreasureLland), Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, Nordic Union, W.E.T), Benny
Jansson (Ride The Sky), Billy Sheehan (Mr Big, The Winery Dogs),
Jona Tee (H.E.A.T).
“We Will Align” is a melodic hard rock album with a bluesy note along
with powerful pieces and it goes back to the roots where EDOFF has
got her influences. The strong melodies are always there such as her
powerful voice. The musicians are the best to find and they are by her
side in the studio as well on stage, i.e. Björn Höglund (drums), Nalle
Påhlsson (bass), Stefan Bergström (guitar) and Jona Tee (keyboard/
hammond and production). The mixing went through the hands of the
legendary Tobias Lindell.

Newman – New album out in September

Newman are back with their new album coming up on September 22d 2017. The album is called “Aerial” and  will be released on AOR Heaven.

In 1997 Singer, songwriter Steve Newman formed the band Newman and since 1998 has been producing consistently high quality albums filled with hook laden songs and thought provoking lyrics and released 10 studio albums and one best of compilation up to today. The previous release, “The Elegance Machine”, was released  in 2015 and the band returned to the road with shows in Europe and their first UK headline tour.
Steve Newman continued to write throughout 2016, songs, of which some have featured on various artists releases, and some which are still to come. It was within this writing process that Newman started to piece together the ideas which would become his latest release, and 11th studio album.
“Aerial” now  features 12 tracks that return to the huge chorus’s, maintaining the high quality production values that have been prevalent  over the last albums. But this record, above all, is all about the songs, you could say it’s an unashamed AOR/Melodic Rock record and follows that rule across all 12 songs to give the listener a very consistent album. Once again Steve Newman has teamed up with Rob McEwen (drummer for the last nine Newman albums), the album also features long time friend Mark Thompson-Smith lending his vocals to “Fear Of Flying” and ” Two Sides”. Finally the mastering was taken care of by none other than Harry Hess (Harem Scarem) at H Bomb Mastering.
