Wheels Of Fire: details of “Begin Again” unveiled…

Art Of Melody Music & Burning Minds Music Group are excited to announce all the details of “Begin Again“, new official studio album by Italian melodic hard-rockers, Wheels Of Fire. After two successful releases, that received great feedback from fans and critics all around the world (the debut album “Hollywood Rocks” reached #42 on the charts of renowned Japanese magazine, Burrn!), Wheels Of Fire are now back on the scene with what is going to be their strongest release so far, showcasing the noteworthy skills of a band at the top of its form. The new album includes experienced contributors, Pierpaolo “Zorro” Monti (Raintimes, Shining Line, Charming Grace) and Gianluca Firmo (Room Experience, Firmo), and offers an excellent mix of perfectly-balanced elements between the arena melodies unleashed in “Hollywood Rocks“, and the prominent guitar work of “Up For Anything“, featuring a bombastic and up-to-date sound thanks to the great mix and mastering work by Roberto Priori (Danger Zone, Raintimes, I.F.O.R., Alchemy).

Frontman Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri quotes: “Seven years have passed since the release of our second studio album, “Up For Anything“. Seven long years where we never stopped writing new music, rehearsing together, playing live and believing in this band. “Begin Again” is scheduled for release on June 7, 2019 via Art Of Melody Music / Burning Minds Music Group. A special personalized edition has been created by Outward Styles in a very limited quantity of 50 copies, and is available exclusively on the label’s online shop, Rock Temple. CD graphics have been designed by Aeglos Art (Airbound, Raintimes, Michael Kratz, Alchemy, Firmo), while the CD booklet features introductory liner notes written by Marco Aimasso (Metal.it). The release will be celebrated with an exclusive live event on June 8, 2019 @ Dedolor Music Headquarter (Rovellasca – CO / ITALY), during the second awaited edition of the “Rock Temple Festival“.

Dark Horizon’s members join new symphonic metal band Clockwork….

Clockwork is the name of a new project founded by keyboardist and composer Lorenzo Masiero, which features two members from the symphonic metal band Dark Horizon, as the guitar player and producer Daniele Mandelli (Tragodia, Forgotten Tomb, Adramelch, ecc.) and the drummer Gianluca Capelli.

Clockwork isn’t only a symphonic metal group, behind this moniker there’s a true metal opera created by Masiero, which is also a book writer. It’s his own book entitled ‘Clockwork’ (Albatros Publishing Group – Il filo) that inspired the story for this music concept, composed of eight musician with two female and two male vocals.

Clockwork will debut on May 7th with their first single and videoclip ‘Closer’, released by Freemood – Heavy Load (Tanzan Music group).

The track will be part of the Underground Symphony 25th year anniversary celebrative compilation of the italian metal record label, to be released by the end of 2019.

NTH ASCENSION – New Album in May….

UK progressive rock band, NTH ASCENSION, featuring TEN keyboarder Darrel Treece-Birch in their ranks, have announced the release of their third album ‘Stranger Than Fiction‘ on May 31st 2019 via Metatronic Records. The album contains 8 tracks including a further three instalments from the ongoing Clanaan Chronicles storyline which began on their debut release.

NTH ASCENSION has returned to their regular album artist Oliver Pengilley to paint the stunning new artwork. The renowned UK artist made his cover art debut with NTH ASCENSION’s first release ‘Ascension of Kings’ in 2014, and was followed by their sophomore release ‘In Fine Initium’ in 2016. The powerful seascape contains Pengilley’s trademark imagery and pulls the viewer deep into ocean waves.

The album was engineered by Darrel Treece-Birch & Martin Walker. Mixed and Mastered by Eric Gillette (Neal Morse Band), EKG Studios, USA.

Writing in NTH ASCENSION is very collaborative. Initial ‘bare bones’ of songs are brought into a rehearsal setting and the band enhances the song from there. Once the song is fleshed out and expanded upon it is then ready for playing live or indeed recording. All members of the band bring ideas to the table and in some cases a reinvention of older ideas from the various incarnations of previous bands, eg Vision is a song written originally in 1991 by Darrel Treece-Birch, at which time it was 8 minutes long and not 18 minutes as it finally ended up.

Influence wise each band member sites many artists as ‘having an influence’. Such as, Marillion, Genesis, Yes, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Rush, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd to name a few. But the band resolutely stands by, that the music that is created is not designed or to order but is organic and natural.
