PRESS RELEASE:

HRH PROG FESTIVAL entered another new Chapter – HRH Prog 9 is just around the corner this March using the Reading/Leeds styled format with the 02 Academy Sheffield as well as London’s iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the same weekend, which are now virtually sold out. The exciting news is, the Tenth Anniversary Voyage of HRH Prog is just about to launch to repeat the format next October with a spectacular line up.

The legendary Colosseum will headline the tenth HRH Prog experience. Formed in 1968, the 6-piece  progressive jazz-rock fusion pioneers will give us a masterclass in musicianship and creativity that will fit perfectly in the impressive surroundings of the Shepherds Bush Empire in London.  With the full lineup also heading to Sheffield, there’s really no excuse to miss this incredible opportunity to see this truly pioneering band perform.

Mostly Autumn bring their own unique blend of progressive folk-rock to London and Sheffield next October, celebrating 25 years as a major force in British rock music. Their latest release, White Rainbow, came out earlier this year to critical acclaim.

Another 6-piece announced for HRH Prog X are progressive metallers Threshold.  The popular brits will be in their 5th decade of making high-intensity music having first released material back in 1988, with their career encompassing 11 studio albums and 6 live albums.

At HRH Prog VII The Crazy World of Arthur Brown blew us all away with a show full of showmanship, charisma and no lack of humour.  We can’t wait to welcome Arthur and his crew back to HRH Prog, this time gracing the incredible stages of the Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the O2 Academy in Sheffield.

Atomic Rooster carved a niche for themselves in the 70s and early 80s with their heavy brand of progressive rock.  They reformed in 2016 with early members Pete French and Steve “Boltz” Bolton leading the way.  Although still producing new music, the band don’t play often, so this will be a rare chance to see a genuine legend of rock music next October.

Joining these 5 iconic bands are Moon Safari, Magenta, Lifesigns, Gandalf’s Fist, MonkeyTrial, Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate, Sonic Trip Project and Tiger Moth Tales.

For HRH Prog X in October 2020 we are taking advantage of repeating what we did this October with a very special 2-day show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London & the O2 Academy Sheffield on the same weekend reversing line ups. Both iconic venues will be transformed into a new adventure to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Voyage.

HRH Prog X will take place at the beautiful Shepherd’s Bush Empire and legendary O2 Academy Sheffield on the 17th & 18th October 2020.
