SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL: 2020 EDITION CANCELLED…

PRESS RELEASE:

In the last few weeks we have been working hard investigating the possibilities to reschedule the 2020 festival from June to the end of the summer. For a while it looked doable, as we received a very positive response to the plan from artists, suppliers and collaborators. However, due to the unprecedented situation it has now become clear that cancelling is unavoidable. Instead we are now focusing our efforts towards 2021.
For many of you, our visitors, Sweden Rock Festival is one of the highlights of the year. The festival is also of great importance to a number of others, such as crew staff, suppliers, partners, associations, camp sites, hotels and more. A lot of people have been working hard for a very long time to prepare for another sold out event. Hence, we put a lot of energy and time into exploring alternative options. We are now taking all that hard work and enthusiasm and putting it towards 9-12 June 2021.
We promise to make next year’s festival the best one ever!
SRR
Associations and Sweden Rock heavy metal camp
Sweden Rock Festival has over 3,000 people working for the festival through a number of regional associations (sports clubs and similar). Each association is compensated by them invoicing Sweden Rock a fee based on the number of hours worked. For many of them, this money is the largest revenue post of the year and crucial for their operations. The associations do a fantastic job and their commitment is indispensable for the festival’s existence. We have therefore decided that even though this year’s festival is not taking place, we will pay full association fees to all the associations that we have agreements with and who also have an ongoing member activity all year round.
Together with our partner Studiefrämjandet, we also still aim to put together this year’s “Sweden Rock-kollo” – the summer camp for girls wanting to learn to play metal. However, it will take place at a later date and in accordance with the national health recommendations.
Ticket information
Tickets purchased for Sweden Rock Festival 2020 will now automatically be valid for the 2021 festival, but you will also be offered the option of receiving a refund.
By choosing to hold on to your ticket for 2021, you are helping the festival, and you are also helping us help the associations and the Sweden Rock metal camp. As a thank you for your support you will receive a gift card that gives you SEK 200 to use in our online merch shop.
Look out for an e-mail from Ticketmaster with further ticketing information very soon.
Finally, we would like to thank you for your support and understanding. We have the best audience in the world and we hope to see you all again 9-12 June 2021.

HRH PROG X Festival 2020: Announce The 10th Anniversary Line Up Incl. COLOSSEUM, THRESHOLD, MOSTLY AUTUMN, ATOMIC ROOSTER…

PRESS RELEASE:

HRH PROG FESTIVAL entered another new Chapter – HRH Prog 9 is just around the corner this March using the Reading/Leeds styled format with the 02 Academy Sheffield as well as London’s iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the same weekend, which are now virtually sold out. The exciting news is, the Tenth Anniversary Voyage of HRH Prog is just about to launch to repeat the format next October with a spectacular line up.

unnamed (4).jpg

The legendary Colosseum will headline the tenth HRH Prog experience. Formed in 1968, the 6-piece  progressive jazz-rock fusion pioneers will give us a masterclass in musicianship and creativity that will fit perfectly in the impressive surroundings of the Shepherds Bush Empire in London.  With the full lineup also heading to Sheffield, there’s really no excuse to miss this incredible opportunity to see this truly pioneering band perform.

Mostly Autumn bring their own unique blend of progressive folk-rock to London and Sheffield next October, celebrating 25 years as a major force in British rock music. Their latest release, White Rainbow, came out earlier this year to critical acclaim.

Another 6-piece announced for HRH Prog X are progressive metallers Threshold.  The popular brits will be in their 5th decade of making high-intensity music having first released material back in 1988, with their career encompassing 11 studio albums and 6 live albums.

At HRH Prog VII The Crazy World of Arthur Brown blew us all away with a show full of showmanship, charisma and no lack of humour.  We can’t wait to welcome Arthur and his crew back to HRH Prog, this time gracing the incredible stages of the Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the O2 Academy in Sheffield.

Atomic Rooster carved a niche for themselves in the 70s and early 80s with their heavy brand of progressive rock.  They reformed in 2016 with early members Pete French and Steve “Boltz” Bolton leading the way.  Although still producing new music, the band don’t play often, so this will be a rare chance to see a genuine legend of rock music next October.

Joining these 5 iconic bands are Moon Safari, Magenta, Lifesigns, Gandalf’s Fist, MonkeyTrial, Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate, Sonic Trip Project and Tiger Moth Tales.

For HRH Prog X in October 2020 we are taking advantage of repeating what we did this October with a very special 2-day show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London & the O2 Academy Sheffield on the same weekend reversing line ups. Both iconic venues will be transformed into a new adventure to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Voyage.

HRH Prog X will take place at the beautiful Shepherd’s Bush Empire and legendary O2 Academy Sheffield on the 17th & 18th October 2020.

Packages are on sale now HERE.

HARD ROCK HELL announce HRH ROAD TRIP XI – IBIZA 2020!

HARD ROCK HELL announce HRH ROAD TRIP XI – IBIZA 2020, which is being held on 6th to 13th May 2020. The line up includes: SKINDREDTED POLEY (Danger Danger), REEFJOE LYNN TURNERJOHN COGHLAN’S QUOLA GUNSJIZZY PEARL’SLOVE/HATETEN YEARS AFTERWAYWARD SONSSEETHING AKIRAMASSIVEMIDNITE CITY, and more to be announed!

Bands – Bikes – Beers – Boats – Brotherhood: The 5 cornerstones of HRH Road Trips– the ultimate rock’n’roll holiday.

Held annually on the world-famous holiday island of Ibiza, the HRH RoadTrip has grown from its humble beginnings 10 years ago to become one of rock and metals most celebrated events.

The event attracts world famous rock and metal artists – such as HawkwindWhitesnake’s Bernie MarsdenMotorhead’s Phil CampbellReefRainbow’s Joe Lynn TurnerSkindredGirlschoolLA Guns and The Quireboys – to play and soak up the sun and unique atmosphere of the Spanish leg of Hard Rock Hell.

Over 4000 rock fans attended this year’s event making it the biggest yet – and next year is shaping up to be even bigger and better.

Doesn’t matter if it’s lazing by the pool with banging tunes in the background, making shapes on the most famous dancefloors in the world such as Eden or taking in the spectacular sunsets on the beach … there’s something for everyone.

HRH Magazine’s Adam Kennedy had this to say about this year’s event “With the unpredictable nature of British summertime weather, a five-day hard rock festival located on the Balearic Island of Ibiza doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. You can leave those wellies at home, put your tent away, and comfortably enjoy the diverse bill of entertainment on display without worrying about having to dredge through muddy fields or being washed away by the rain.

As the White Isle awakens from its annual winter hibernation, flocks of revellers will arrive at the party capital of the world as HRH takes over San Antonio’s hotels, bars, and legendary night spots. The event itself once again offers a comprehensive bill of both established and emerging talent whilst encompassing acts that represent many of HRH festival’s different brands. There will also be the chance to take part in Ibiza traditions such as the customary HRH bike ride, pool and boat parties, or take the opportunity to experience the island’s world-famous sunsets with an early evening boat trip.

When Axl Rose penned the lyrics to Paradise City, he could well have been thinking about a location not too dissimilar to San Antonio. At the heart of Ibiza’s Rock n Roll paradise is one of the island’s most beloved super clubs “Eden”. Every year HRH Road Trip will take-over the famed night club and its many different rooms for the duration of the event. Nestled away between San Antonio Bay and the world-famous nightlife of San Antonio town, the 5,000 capacity club is the perfect spot to host an event such as HRH RTX.

Described by one festival punter as being like ‘Download with a pool’ HRH RTX entails several music filled days and plenty of sun, sea and San Miguel plus of course a healthy mix of rock, blues, metal, stoner and prog that will keep the party going until the wee hours during four music-filled club nights.”

HRH Road Trip XI is being held on 6th to 13th May 2020.  For all the details and packages visit www.hrhroadtrip.com or call 044+ 207 193 1164.
