Shadow Tribe – “Reality Unveiled” set for release in November….

ALTARIA/STARGAZERY bass player Marko Pukkila has joined forces with ex-CELESTY/SPIRITUS MORTIS/MASQUERAGE frontman Kimmo Perämäki in a new band called SHADOW TRIBE. The group, whose lineup is rounded out by Simo Pirttimaa on guitars and Petri Heinonen (King Satan) on drums, has signed a worldwide record deal with Pride & Joy Music who will release the group’s debut album “Reality Unveiled” on November 13th, 2020.


SHADOW TRIBE is a melodic metal group from Finland. The band is driven forward and managed by Altaria/ Stargazery bass player Marko Pukkila, who is well known within the industry. He has been around the European rock scene for over two decades and played on almost 40 different releases incl. work with musicians like Vinny Appice, Kee Marcello, AJ Pero, Frankie Banali, Rowan Robertson, Ryan Roxie just to name a few.

British Melodic Metallers ATLAS released their new video “Human Touch” out of their second album called “Parallel Love” set for release on September 25th on AOR Heaven.

Here With You “Parallel Love” is the second album by British Melodic Rock band ATLAS. Writing sessions for “Parallel Love” started shortly after the band’s 2019 tour with Midnite City and Age of Reflection, with the band spending much longer on the demo process than for their previous album, polishing their ideas through the autumn and winter of 2019. This resulted in 11 tracks that the band felt were more concise and stronger than previous efforts. The band chose to pursue a heavier edge for the album production, while staying true to their Melodic Rock and AOR roots. The album line-up consists of Craig Wells (Vocals), Howie Little (Guitar), James Thorley (Keyboards), Chris Redfearn (Bass) and Ryan Briggs (Drums). James Thorley took on the role of producer and recording engineer, with Christoffer Borg (Art Nation, Taste) once again taking over the role of mixing and mastering. The five-piece chose to work with AOR Heaven again for the world-wide release of “Parallel Love” due to the successful working relationship for their previous release “In Pursuit Of Memory”. “Parallel Love” explores complicated and difficult themes in relationships that arenʼt often touched on in traditional AOR, while still exploring the highs and lows of what love brings to life. “Human Touch” showcases the physical side of love with no strings attached, while “Here With You” is a declaration of love lyrically and musically with the band showcasing a string ensemble for the album’s finale. NERGARD – Under Fire (SHY tribute) single released….

Norwegian all-star melodic metal act NERGARD is taking a break from recording the upcoming third album to pay tribute to the late Tony Mills (Shy, TNT). Mills, who sadly passed away on September 18, 2019 after battling cancer, was a legend in the melodic rock scene.


“I wanted to pay tribute to my friend Tony who was a great inspiration to me and an essential part of the Nergard camp during the early years,” says band leader Andreas Nergård. “I miss his unique songwriting skills, incredible voice and warmhearted personality. I wanted to celebrate his great career by covering one of the songs from Shy. I chose one of the deep cuts from the album Excess All Areas, called ‘Under Fire.’ The
song fits Nergard immensely and I am really proud of the version we did.”
For this tribute Andreas enlisted some top-notch vocalists; Nils K. Rue from Pagan’s Mind and Mathias Molund Indergård from Mindtech. Andi Kravljaca (Aeon Zen, Thaurorod) made his guitar debut with Nergard, handling both rhythm and lead guitars. Joining him on lead guitar is Stig Nergård (Tellus Requiem). The bass was handled by Victor Borge, who played with Tony Mills in TNT. Choir arrangements were made by David Åkesson (Qauentice) while Andreas himself handled the drums as always.
“I am so happy to have enlisted all these great musicians to join me in this tribute to the great Tony Mills,” Andreas comments. “All proceeds will go to Tony’s Children’s Cancer Cause. Tony said that no child should have to suffer like he did and I wholeheartedly support this cause.”

Formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2008, DYNAZTY has since released 6 albums in a mere 10 year window. Straying from their early days of 80’s influenced Hardrock, the band has developed and refined their sound into something that merges the modern metal scene with the past, crafting something wholly unique. Today the band is comprised of highly respected and sought after musicians, active on the metal scene in more than one way. Dynazty announced their return in the studio, preparing their new album (no title yet) which will be released later on this year.

“We are excited to announce the start of the recordings for our follow up album to 2016’s Titanic Mass. Set for release in 2018, the album is recorded in Skara, Sweden at the Panic Room Studios with Thomas “Plec” Johansson producing.

Singer Nils Molin says: “After starting the writing back in the spring of 2017, it is exciting to say the least to finally start recording this album, that I without hesitation can say is our strongest effort yet!

Metalite – Debut album out Oct. 27th

Debut album from Metalite called “Heroes in time” is set for release on October 27th via Inner Wound Recordings.

Metalite was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2015 when Edwin Premberg [guitar] met Emma Bensing [vocals]. He presented his musical ideas and vision to her, and she agreed to join the band. The goal was to write and record melodic and memorable metal songs with a modern and fresh sound.

Edwin and Emma started to co-operate with the Danish producer Jacob Hansen [Volbeat, Evergrey, Amaranthe] and songs started to take shape. During 2016 Metalite found three experienced musicians that agreed to join the band: Lea Larsson [drums], Robert Örnesved [guitar] and Robert Majd [bass].

A deal was signed with the Swedish label Inner Wound Recordings, and the Metalite debut album “Heroes In Time” is scheduled to be released in October 2017.

“Afterlife”, the first single from the album showcase the Metalite sound in a perfect way, but other songs from the album like “Nightmare”, “Heroes In Time” or “Purpose of Life” are just as likely to become fan favorites.

“Heroes In Time” is an impressive debut album filled with melodic and memorable songs, crowned with the strong and emotional vocals by vocalist Emma Bensing as well as a powerful production by Jacob Hansen. The album should be perfect for fans of bands like Beyond The Black, Dynazty and Amaranthe!

The artwork was created by Jan Yrlund [Apocalyptica, Leah, Korpiklaani] and guest appearances on the album includes Fraser Edwards [Ascension] and Jakob Svensson [Wigelius].

The young, promising melodic metal band Within Silence are finally back with their highly anticipated second album “Return From The Shadows”!
The debut album “Gallery of Life” was released through the Swedish label Ulterium Records in 2015 and received very good feedback from around the world. Within Silence played many shows in Slovakia and around Europe since then including festivals in Norway, Germany, Slovakia and the Netherlands, as well as joining Theocracy [US] as special guests on their European tour in November 2016.
“Return From The Shadows” is a perfect follow-up to “Gallery of Life” and feels like a more mature and focused album. The impressive song-writing and melodies are still there, and together with heavy riffs, symphonic arrangements and epic parts the result is a really impressive album!
The album was mixed and mastered by Roland Grapow [Masterplan, ex. Helloween] and the artwork was created by Jan Yrlund [Delain, Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani].

Empire – The Raven Ride (reissue)

EMPIRE is the Hard Rock band of German guitarist Rolf Munkes (ex Majesty, ex Razorback, Crematory) which has released four exceptional albums in between the years of 2001 and 2007. On these releases, Munkes was accompanied by numerous high-class musicians.
The history of EMPIRE began in the year 2001 with the release of the album “Hypnotica” (Lion Music) which featured both the American singers Mark Boals (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) and Lance King (ex Nightmare) on vocals. The line-up at the time was completed by Neil Murray (bass, ex Whitesnake, Brian May Band, Black Sabbath etc.), Gerald Klos (drums), Anders Johansson (drums, ex Stratovarius) and Don Airey (keyboards, ex Rainbow, Deep Purple). Rolf Munkes produced „Hypnotica“ himself; the mix was handled by Stefan Kaufmann (ex Accept, ex U.D.O.).
Only one year later, “Trading Souls”, the band’s second album came out on Lion Music. The CD once again was produced by Munkes with the mix being handled by Kaufmann. On this release, singer extraordinare Tony Martin (ex Black Sabbath) replaced King and Martin on the vocal spot.
Tony Martin also sang on the – up until now – most successful CD from EMPIRE, “The Rave Ride”, which was released in 2006 on German label Metal Heaven. Besides of Munkes, who, for the first also produced and mixed this release himself at his own Empire Studios in Bensheim, Germany, Neil Murray took again care of the bass work whilst the drums this time were handled by ex-Rage/ex-Axxis drummer André Hilgers.
In 2007, the so far last album of EMPIRE saw the light of day. “Chasing Shadows” was once again released on Metal Heaven and the first record feat. former Rainbow singer Doogie White in the line-up. Mike Terrana (ex Rage, ex Axel Rudi Pell, Tarja Turunen) joined the group on drums.
In 2017, German label Pride & Joy Music will re-issue all four releases in a revised version. “The Raven Ride” which will be released on August 15th, 2017 with one bonus track.
