Rain Or Shine – Re-Releases their debut album…..

Greek melodic rockers Rain or Shine based in Athens, are due to re-release their debut album called “Seize the Night” through Lion’s Pride Music. The album was self-released back in 2014.
Release date is set for April 27th.

Rain Or Shine is a promising melodic hard rock band from Greece, which was formed in 2013.Our goal is to write our own radio hit songs and contribute to the hard rock scene.After all, music is all about passion, creativity and having a good time, so there is no doubt that we’re gonna continue our music journey, until all of our dreams come true.
Rain or Shine released their debut album in April 2014, called “Seize The Night”.

LION’S SHARE and ASTRAL DOORS singer NILS PATRIK JOHANSSON – releases solo album…..

Nils Patrik Johansson (LION’S SHARE, ASTRAL DOORS, ex-CIVIL WAR), will release his first solo album “Evil Deluxe”, this spring on German label Metalville.

“I have thought about a solo album for ten years, but then CIVIL WAR came into the picture and I used all my ideas for the three albums that we did” Nils Patrik reveals.

“After my departure from them, I felt that I wanted to focus 100% on ASTRAL DOORS and LION’S SHARE. But all of a sudden inspiration came back – and from out of nowhere I had 10 new killer songs. It felt natural to hire my LION’S SHARE band mate, Lars Chriss as producer and guitar player. My son Fredrik Johansson play drums on the record, so finally father and son Johansson will appear on the same album.” Nils Patrik adds.

VOLSTER Reveal ‘Perfect Storm’ Album Cover, Tracklisting, Release Date….

Swedish Melodic Hard Rock Band, VOLSTER (feat. ex-members of Masquerade and House Of Heavy) will release their debut album ‘Perfect Storm‘ on April 20th via Rock Of Angels Records.  The album includes 12 tracks and is produced by VOLSTER, co-produced and mixed by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Lynch Mob, Armored Saint, Lizzy Borden, Megadeth, Y&T) and mastered by Thomas “Plec” Johansson (Soilwork, Onslaught, Armageddon, Degradead, Dynazty) at The Panic Room Mastering.

Henrik Lundberg says: “Brought up with music from the 70th and 80th the roots are deep. So it’s no surprise our music is built from these glorious decades even if we also involve more modern flavours. The main ingredient is the melody, what else makes a great song other than great vocals and interesting riffs of course. With members having been active in the music business for decades now is the time to make all our music dreams come true, playing the music we love. VOLSTER is melodic hard rock as it’s supposed to be.”

DRIVE, SHE SAID is a melodic metal duo that has recorded 6 records.  Having started out on CBS in the U.S., made up of Mark Mangold and Al Fritsch, D,SS is known for their stellar vocals, anthemic songs and scathing musicianship

Mangold, a renowned keyboardist, and his creative partner in Drive, She said, the amazing singer/multi-instrumentist Al Fritsch, met in 1988 and started writing and paving the way for their acclaimed first album Drive, She Said on Columbia records. The band toured extensively, playing with such bands as FM, UFO and others, and performing at numerous Festivals.

In 2003 Mark and Al joined with drummer Jonathan Mover to create the album “Real Life”.

According to Mangold “When we started it was important to carve out an original sound, and hopefully also have a “hit.  We have always wanted to make our music totally over the top!  One of the favorite records we ever did is “Real Life” but the original release never sounded the way we wanted it to.  It has the walls of vocals, and musicianship, and hopefully anthemic, and sometimes progressive, songs we enjoyed doing and I am ecstatic that we were now able to remix and release it the way it was meant to be.   I am also happy that Al’s legacy is preserved as to listen to this record is to be surrounded by Al Fritch’s voice, playing and energy.”

In December 1987 “LIVE IN MOSCOW” was recorded and released in 1988. For the first time with Heep Lanzon shows he’s an important songwriter (and singer) with his song MR. MAJESTIC. The 1989 release of RAGING SILENCE is the first Uriah Heep studio album for Lanzon. From this album “Bad bad man” is composed by Lanzon. In 1991 the heavily criticized DIFFERENT WORLD was released. In 1994 a techno/dance version of Gypsy goes around. On this maxi-CD four different versions of the song are recorded: ‘LUCKY HEATHER MIX’, DJ CLUB MIX’,’WEDGE MIX’, and RADIO MIX’. In 1995 the long awaited SEA OF LIGHT is released. At 8 of the 12 songs Lanzon did his job on the composition part. His own song ‘Mistress of all time‘ belongs to the strongest pieces of the album. The main opinion is this album is the best of Uriah Heep ever since the Byronline up. Lanzon succeeded in bringing back the roaring Hammond organ sound. September 1998 SONIC ORIGAMI, the latest album of Uriah Heep is released on the (UK) EAGLE RECORDS label. Lanzon is heavily involved in the composition work. Like on Sea of Light he worked a lot with Mick Box as a songwriter duo. His song writing potential is best shown in BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, he was also heavily involved in the arrangements, and in the epos “GOLDEN PALACE” a deep going bombast symphonic rock song. HEEP recorded the acclaimed ACCOUSTICALLY DRIVEN in 2001. LANZONscored the arrangements for the string quartet. This was followed by touring and festivals which included the release of various HEEP DVD’s. The long awaited release of WAKE THE SLEEPER, 2008, and consequently INTO THE WILD, 2011, saw LANZON‘S song writing establishing itself again. Some say that BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, GOLDEN PALACE and TRAIL OF DIAMONDS were heading more towards the ‘prog’ side of HEEP. LANZON thinks that the next album may enter those bright waters a little more deeply along with the straight ahead rock songs. Followed by ‘Outsider‘ in 2014, the greatest hits album ‘Totally Driven‘ in 2015 and the forthcoming album ‘Living The Dream‘, announced to be out in fall 2018,
